Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers for riders, retail buyers and distributors comparing e-bike accessories before an RFQ.
FAQ
Real questions buyers ask before ordering
Product fit and daily use
Are the lights waterproof enough for rainy commutes?
Most bike light programs should confirm the waterproof rating, charging-port sealing and switch design before purchase. For rainy commuting, buyers usually ask for water-resistant housings, covered USB ports and stable brackets. If your market has heavy rain or winter riding, mention this in the RFQ so we can recommend a safer light range.
How do I know if a phone mount fits my handlebar?
Please share the handlebar diameter, phone size, case thickness and whether the bike uses a round or shaped cockpit area. Many buyers also ask if the clamp includes reducer pads, anti-slip rubber and enough clearance around brake cables or display screens.
Will a phone holder work with thick cases or large phones?
Phone compatibility depends on the holder opening range, corner grip shape and case thickness. For marketplace listings, it is better to show a size range and real phone examples instead of only saying “universal”. If you sell to delivery riders, ask about larger phones and protective cases first.
Can vibration damage the phone or loosen the mount?
Riders often worry about vibration, camera focus and loose brackets. For e-bikes, we recommend checking the clamp structure, rubber contact points, locking method and road condition. For premium phone-mount assortments, a stronger anti-shock design or dampening accessory can reduce complaints.
What should buyers compare when choosing front and rear lights?
Common comparison points are brightness mode, beam angle, runtime, charging method, bracket stability, waterproof rating and whether the rear light is visible from side angles. Retail buyers should avoid relying on lumen claims alone and request clear product photos, mode details and packaging information.
Can lights, bags and locks be sold as starter accessory bundles?
Yes. Starter bundles often work well for retail and online stores because riders buy visibility, storage and security together. A practical first bundle can include a front/rear light set, phone mount, cable lock, repair tool and compact bag, with packaging adjusted for your sales channel.
Samples, MOQ and RFQ
Can I order samples before a bulk order?
Yes. Samples are useful for checking material feel, bracket strength, charging function, bag stitching, lock operation, packaging direction and listing photos. Tell us which items are for function testing and which are for photography or buyer presentation.
What MOQ should I expect for e-bike accessories?
MOQ depends on the product, stock status, color, logo method and packaging. Standard items usually have lower starting quantities than customized colors or full retail packaging. If you are testing a new market, share your target quantity range and we can suggest a practical mixed-SKU plan.
Can I mix several SKUs in one starter order?
Mixed SKU orders are often possible for accessories such as lights, mounts, bags, locks and repair tools. The key is carton planning: each SKU should have clear quantity, color, packaging type and label requirements so warehouse handling stays clean.
What information should I send to get an accurate quote?
Please send product category, target quantity, destination country, required packaging, logo needs, preferred price level, sales channel and any must-have details such as waterproof rating, phone size range, bracket type or cable length. Clear RFQ details reduce back-and-forth and make pricing more realistic.
Can OpenRyd help choose products for Amazon or retail stores?
Yes. We can help narrow the range by use case: commuter visibility, delivery-rider phone mounting, compact storage, anti-theft, repair kits or seasonal bundles. For Amazon-style listings, we pay extra attention to visible product details, compatibility statements and packaging clarity.
OEM, packaging and branding
Do you support logo and OEM packaging?
Yes. Depending on the item and quantity, options can include logo labels, hang cards, color boxes, barcode labels, instruction sheets, carton marks and bundle packaging. Simple label work is usually easier than custom mold, new color or full packaging redesign.
What packaging details should I confirm before production?
Confirm product name, SKU code, barcode, warning text, language, carton quantity, inner packing, retail display needs and whether the package must show compatibility information. For online sales, package protection during shipping is just as important as shelf appearance.
Can you prepare products for marketplace listings?
We can support product selection and packaging details that make listings clearer, such as size range, accessory contents, material notes and use-case positioning. Buyers should still prepare their own final listing copy, compliance review and local market claims.
Quality, lead time and shipping
How do you check product quality before shipment?
Quality checks can include visual appearance, quantity, packaging, basic function, charging response, bracket fit, stitching, lock movement and carton condition. For technical or regulated items, buyers should also confirm the documents and testing expectations for their market.
How long does production usually take?
Lead time depends on stock, quantity, customization and packaging. Standard accessories can move faster than OEM packaging or new color work. We recommend confirming sample timing, production timing and shipping method separately instead of treating “delivery time” as one number.
Which shipping details should I provide early?
Please provide destination country, delivery address type, carton-mark requirements, target shipping method and whether you need support for mixed cartons. Early shipping details help avoid quote changes after products and packaging are already confirmed.
What should I do if I am not sure which accessories to start with?
Start with your buyer type and sales channel. Retail stores often need clean packaging and stable repeat SKUs; online sellers need strong photos and clear compatibility; distributors need carton efficiency and category coverage. Send your target market and we can suggest a focused starter range.
